The Green Interview Goes To England!
The Green Interview is going to England! We leave tonight — Silver Donald Cameron and his wife, Marjorie Simmins, and our producer/director, Chris Beckett. As always, we try to amortize our carbon footprint by accomplishing several tasks at the same time whenever we travel, and so it is on this occasion. We're going to be collecting five new Green Interviews in Ludlow (Shropshire), Totnes (Devon), Forest Row (Sussex), St. Austell (Cornwall) and Oxford.
Here's a challenge. Just knowing those locations, can anyone guess correctly the five green giants we'll be interviewing? Send your answers to firstname.lastname@example.org — and if you can guess even four out of the five, I'll give you a free book.
This offer ends Monday night, because I'm going to try to do a daily blog most days next week, and I will reveal what we've been up to each day — who we spoke to, where, what we talked about. By Friday or Saturday, everyone will know the five names.
I'll be speaking to the Annual Dinner of the Nova Scotia Nature Trust on October 18 in Halifax, and I'm going to try to weave the ideas of the five new interviewees into the talk. Maybe I'll even see if I can use little video clips from the five interviews to enliven the speech.
More news soon. But right now, I've got a plane to catch. As they say in France, bon weekend!
