RECYCLING BY THE SEA

You would expect David Wimberly to be jubilant — like other Nova Scotians — but maybe that’s not in his nature.
Nova Scotia has suddenly become famous for its environmental achievements.
The Society of Environmental Journalists – to which I belong – recently launched a website dedicated entirely to coverage of the tragedy unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico. It’s an excellent resource for anyone wanting to follow the story. The following is quoted from an email from Chris Rigel, the SEJ’s Director of Programs and Operations.
This message is forwarded from The Salty Southeast Cruisers’ Net (http://cruisersnet.net/ ), a site maintained by Claiborne Young for cruising skippers operating between Virginia and Florida.
I thought some of the readers of Cruisers Net might like to see the live ROV coverage of the leak so I attached the link below.
Silver Donald Cameron, executive producer and host of The Green Interview, will deliver the keynote address at the Mobius Environmental Awards luncheon on June 2 at Pier 21 in Halifax. His topic, “Greening Our Minds,” is the essence of the mission of The Green Interview, which aims to help subscribers explore the transformative ideas, attitudes and activities that are essential to a sustainable society.
